Since 2008, Konekt has been a leading CSO in North Macedonia, driving private giving and social responsibility to foster sustainable development. Recognized across Southeast Europe for their expertise in philanthropy, sustainability (CSR and ESG), Konekt is pioneering models like the National Philanthropy Fund and flexible matching grant programs, and collaborates with local leadership groups and CSOs Local Action Hubs to evolve into community foundations.

Through these efforts, it unlocks transformative philanthropic potential and drives cross-sector partnerships in local communities. Konekt empowers individuals and families to donate and volunteer wisely, while helping businesses strategise their sustainability impact.

With a fit-to-case capacity and capabilities building model for CSOs, Konekt provides essential skills and resources to maximise CSO impact. Through the crowdfunding platform www.opop.mk, Giving Circle events, as a TFN affiliate, and targeted mentoring and training, Konekt enables CSOs to become powerful drivers of community change.

Local Community Development Foundation – Shtip (LCDF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in December 2006. The Local Community Development Foundation was the first community foundation in North Macedonia with an established philanthropy program since 2007. In 2013 it started with a more organised support to people-led philanthropy initiatives with much bigger involvement of the target group in all phases of problem solving. It serves as an example for others.
