ECFI CFSO Meeting 2022: The Future Is Local and Releasing the Power of Local
This presentation summarises discussions from ECFI’s Community Foundation Support Organisation meetings in Brussels in December 2022. It explores the value of place-based philanthropy, the role of support organisations and the conditions needed for stronger national and international collaboration. The presentation also captures reflections on ECFI’s activities, priorities for the field, ways to increase engagement and practical ideas for strengthening relationships, knowledge exchange and the wider visibility of community foundations.

This Serbian-language guide shows how community foundations can connect local action with the Sustainable Development Goals and embed the SDG framework across their entire organisation. Drawing on examples from Europe and Canada, it covers mission, investment, strategy, grantmaking, communications, operations, community data and partnerships. The publication also offers ten practical steps to help community foundations understand, adopt and use the SDGs to strengthen their relevance, credibility and local impact.
